Barton County Chamber of Commerce — Year in Review

What a year it has been!

Barton County Chamber of Commerce exists to promote progress in Barton County through business and community development—and this year truly reflected that mission in action.

With 282 members, we proudly promoted businesses across Barton County and beyond. Our Monthly Spotlight Events helped community members discover businesses right in their own backyard—some they didn’t even realize are here. These events continue to strengthen connections between residents and local businesses.

Our Annual Banquet was a true celebration of our members and community, honoring outstanding businesses and individuals who make Barton County a great place to live and work. Our Quarterly Breakfasts provided valuable educational topics alongside meaningful networking opportunities, helping members learn, grow, and connect.

Community events were a major highlight of the year, and it was amazing to see families and friends come together time and again.

AOK Business Spotlight

  • Truman Day (May) kicked off our event season, celebrating the birthplace of Missouri’s only U.S. President. The spring event was filled with crafts, music, and family fun, setting the tone for the year.

  • Wyatt Earp Park Wild West Mouse Race (July) brought excitement and laughter to The Belt Cocktail, as guests enjoyed a fun-filled fundraiser betting on which mouse would win big.

  • Country Nights & Carnival Lights (August) wrapped up the Lamar Fair with a one-of-a-kind concert experience. Wyatt Earp Park transformed into a country concert venue with carnival lights and midway rides in the background—creating unforgettable memories. This year featured Missouri native and country favorite Tate Stevens, along with Treavon Dawson.

  • Wyatt Earp FallFest delivered a perfect fall day at the park, complete with crafts, food, and live music into the evening.

  • Lamar Christmas Lighting & Parade (November 21) closed out the year in true Hallmark-style fashion. Families filled the Downtown Square as we flipped the switch to light Wyatt Earp Park and the square, followed by a festive Christmas Parade. The participation and holiday spirit on display were truly heartwarming.
