In God We Trust Day 2026 Celebrates 70th Anniversary of National Motto
Dave Sorrick of In God We Trust LLC will host a celebration of the 70th anniversary of the signing of the federal legislation that designated “In God We Trust” as our federal motto on Wednesday, July 29 at a brief gathering at 1:00 pm in downtown Mindenmines.
President Eisenhower signed the historic legislation into law on July 30, 1956. Since that time the motto “In God We Trust” has appeared on all U.S. coins and currency.
