Spotlight on McFadden Land & Title

The Chamber is proud to announce that McFadden Land & Title Company is our Chamber Spotlight this week. They offer Title Insurance escrow closings abstract or title research to our community. Fifteen years ago Lonnie and Cindy McFadden purchased Pahlow and Pahlow, as it was formerly known. It was formed by the family in 1918 and remained in the same family till the McFadden’s purchased it in 2000 as the second owners.

Lonnie is a 5th generation abstractor in his family, and their daughter Emily Bennett is a 6th generation abstractor. In 1912 was when AO Smith was formed (Lonnie's family abstract title company in Lexington Nebraska) and they are proud to keep that trade so strongly in the family through the years.

Family tradition is a great attribute, but the family had to keep current. A huge challenge has been keeping up with changes and new rules & regulations since the new banking regulations in consumer finance protection bureau created a challenge for them, along with other vendors in this business. However, they overcame those challenges by working with an underwriter (Stewart Title) who is a leader in regulation education and stayed ahead of the curve.

When our staff asked what they are most proud of the answer Lonnie McFadden provided was simple. “The way we treat customers… We do our best to give time to each customer, provide quick turnaround with accurate work and polished customer service.” They also utilize the best technology but believe that holding the customer relationship is the most important.

McFadden Land & Title look forward to growing their business regionally and help the market grow right here at home. They believe the Chamber takes a proactive approach to make positive changes in our business climate. They value their positive association with the Barton County Chamber of Commerce and believe that relationship has helped with networking and keeping abreast of other happenings in businesses in the area.
